A Virginia federal court denied the city of Richmond’s motion to dismiss the claims of a Southeast Asian program manager from Indonesia that she faced a hostile work environment due to her race, color, and national origin, and retaliation for complaining, in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, ruling that she sufficiently pled that she faced discrimination due to her protected characteristics, and retaliation for complaining to human resources, and for filing an EEO complaint.
