Yale University employees challenging their retirement plan fees failed to prove their case at trial, the school said in a new motion seeking a victory over the seven-year-old class action.
After three weeks of testimony from about 20 witnesses, the employees demonstrated only that Yale “diligently monitored” the plan and acted as a “market leader” in negotiating better deals with service providers, the school said. The motion, filed Wednesday, comes one day after the employees finished presenting their case-in-chief to jurors impaneled in the US District Court for the District of Connecticut.
