Waters Corp. Gets First Nod for $800,000 Retirement Plan Deal

Waters Corp. received initial court approval for an $800,000 class settlement benefiting workers who said the water testing equipment manufacturer mismanaged its retirement plan through high fees and underperforming target date funds.

The agreement is expected to benefit about 12,000 people who were covered by the Waters retirement plan since July 2017. It represents about more than 13% of the workers’ settlement demand, according to their settlement motion.
