UPS Retirees Seek Class Status Over Feds’ Teamsters Pension Cuts

United Parcel Service Inc. retirees suing the federal government over a 2014 pension law that authorized 29% cuts to their benefits asked a federal court to certify a class of more than 10,000 people covered by their Teamsters pension plan.

The retirees’ proposed class includes about 10,936 people—including retirees of other companies—who received at least one pension payment from the the New York State Teamsters Conference Pension and Retirement Fund since 2017.
