Iowa-based health-care system UnityPoint Health is facing a federal lawsuit claiming its employees’ retirement plan lost value because of a poorly performing stable value fund.
The proposed class action centers on a stable value fund from non-party Lincoln National Life Insurance Co. that held more than $62 million of the plan’s assets as of 2024. This fund produced subpar returns and should have been swapped for a better-performing alternative, three former UnityPoint employees said in a complaint filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Southern District of Iowa.
