Twitter Severance Lawsuit Should Advance After Trim, Judge Says

A 14-count lawsuit by a former Twitter Inc. vice president and five other workers seeking severance after Elon Musk‘s takeover of the company should move forward with some claims trimmed, a federal magistrate judge recommended.

The employees have viable breach of contract and promissory estoppel claims based on communications suggesting they would retain certain rights to severance benefits following the merger, Magistrate Judge Christopher J.
