Tenet Worker Drops 401(k) Forfeiture Claims After New Suit Filed

A Tenet Healthcare Corp. employee dropped her three-week-old lawsuit challenging the company’s handling of 401(k) plan forfeitures after another worker represented by the same law firm filed a similar case.

Sarah Goss on Wednesday filed paperwork voluntarily dismissing her proposed class action accusing the company of wrongly using the 401(k) contributions forfeited by departing workers to reduce the money it’s required to contribute to the plan instead of using that money to lower workers’ expenses. The three-page notice didn’t include a reason for dismissal or an explanation for how the case was resolved.
