Swinerton Strikes Deal to Resolve Retirement Plan Fee Challenge

California construction company Swinerton Inc. agreed to settle a lawsuit over its 401(k) plan’s administrative fees after failing to get the case dismissed last year.

The parties are finalizing their class action settlement and expect to submit it for court approval by April 21, they told Judge Jacqueline Scott Corley. Their settlement notice, filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Northern District of California, didn’t include details about the terms of the agreement.
