SocGen Investors Boost CEO Krupa’s Fixed Pay 45% to €2.4 Million

Societe Generale SA Chief Executive Officer Slawomir Krupa got a big pay raise Wednesday after the bank’s shareholders convened in Paris for the annual general meeting.

The investors at the event voted to increase Krupa’s fixed compensation to €2.4 million ($2.8 million) from €1.65 million at present, an increase of 45%. SocGen’s board cited the bank’s performance as a key reason for the proposal. 27% of shareholders voted against the measure.
