Shoe Show Cleared for $330,000 Class Deal Over Modest 401(k)

Shoe Show Inc. received final approval for a $330,000 class settlement with about 5,000 workers who challenged the fees associated with the North Carolina retailer’s $40 million retirement plan.

The settlement resolves allegations that the Shoe Show plan’s annual record keeping fees—allegedly $219 per person—were excessive in violation of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.
