Service Corp. Strikes Deal in Retirement Plan Fee Class Action

Service Corp. International and a class of workers challenging the fees and investment options in the funeral and cemetery services company’s 401(k) plan reached a settlement, according to a Texas federal court filing.

The parties signed a settlement agreement Monday and plan to submit the deal for preliminary court approval by the end of the week, the workers told Judge Charles Eskridge. Their status report, filed in the US District court for the Southern District of Texas, didn’t include details about the terms of the deal.
