SAP Proposes Deutsche Telekom Ex-CEO For Supervisory Board Chair

SAP SE said it would nominate former Deutsche Telekom AG Chief Executive Officer René Obermann for election to the supervisory board in 2026, “with the prospect of assuming the role of chair in 2027.”

  • In 2023, the company said former Deloitte CEO Punit Renjen would take on the position, but parted ways with the candidate in February 2024, three months before the planned election at SAP’s annual general meeting
  • Former Nokia President Pekka Ala-Pietilä assumed the role for a transition period
  • Obermann was CEO of Deutsche Telekom from 2006 to 2013, and has been serving on several supervisory boards since. ...
