Russell Resolves Royal Caribbean 401(k) Suit, Heading Off Appeal

Russell Investments Trust Co. agreed to settle a class action over its handling of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.'s 401(k) plan, according to a court filing seeking to dismiss a pending appeal against the investment adviser.

Russell struck a deal with plaintiff Ann Johnson—a participant in the Royal Caribbean plan—and wants the US Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit to send her claims against it back to district court so the parties can seek approval for their settlement, they said in a Tuesday motion.
