Lawmakers continue to work on proposals to boost retirement savings and salvage underfunded pension plans.
Negotiations are ongoing between members of the Senate Finance Committee and House Ways and Means Committee, congressional staffers said Friday at a Federal Bar Association tax conference in Washington.
They didn’t offer specifics. But there is “significant interest” in building on the retirement-related tax changes inked into law by the Setting Every Community Up for Retirement Enhancement Act, they said.
