Retirement Fund Suing NFP for Mismanagement Gets Mixed Results

A lawsuit accusing NFP Corp. of mismanaging a retirement plan covering unionized construction industry workers is moving forward after a federal court trimmed a handful of the case’s 13 claims.

The decision, issued by Wednesday Judge John F. Kness of the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, narrows the scope of a sprawling lawsuit accusing NFP of breaching its fiduciary duties under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.
