Reliance Standard Must Pay Disability Benefits, Attorneys’ Fees

Reliance Standard Life Insurance Co. owes a woman with multiple sclerosis more than $93,000 in disability benefits, interest, and attorneys’ fees, along with ongoing monthly benefits of $2,720 for as long as she remains eligible.

The Thursday judgment comes three weeks after Judge John H. Chun determined that Christa Waldrip was entitled to benefits under her Reliance plan.
