Regence Settles Family’s Wilderness Therapy Coverage Suit

Regence Blueshield and Cambria Health Solutions Inc. settled a lawsuit over coverage of wilderness therapy treatments. But the agreement hinges on whether they have to notify other patients of the deal.

The family that brought a proposed class action against the insurers told a federal judge Jan. 10 the settlement resolves only the family’s claims and doesn’t affect the rights of others. As a result, no notice to would-be class members is needed.
