Raytheon Settles Health Plan Speech Therapy Coverage Lawsuit

Raytheon Co. will settle a proposed class action challenging its health plan’s alleged failure to properly cover speech therapy services, according to a notice filed in Massachusetts federal court five months after the dispute was revived on appeal.

The parties expect to finalize their agreement in the next three weeks and plan to submit a class settlement for court approval by Aug. 1, they said in a joint notice filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
