Wisconsin’s Prevea Clinic Inc. finalized a $597,500 class settlement with workers who said their retirement plan charged them excessive fees.
The agreement is slated to benefit about 6,000 people covered by Prevea’s plan since July 2014, and it reflects about 15% of the total estimated losses demanded in mediation, according to the settlement motion. Judge William C. Griesbach granted final approval to the deal and awarded class counsel about $220,000 in attorneys’ fees and litigation costs in a pair of orders issued June 6 in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin.
