Presence Health’s Pension Deal Leads to $1.5M in Fees

A deal between Presence Health Network and workers who sued over alleged mishandling of their pension plans led to over $1.5 million in attorneys’ fees and costs.

Class counsel is awarded attorneys’ fees in the amount of $1.47 million, which is “fair and reasonable,” and $44,731 in costs, according to an order issued July 10 by Judge Harry D. Leinenweber of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. The fees and costs will be paid in addition to the multimillion-dollar settlement between the parties, according to court documents.
