Health insurance plans must cover preventive services that were recommended before the Affordable Care Act became law without requiring cost-sharing, the Biden administration said Thursday.
The departments of Labor, Health and Human Services, the Treasury, and the Office of Personnel Management issued the guidance following the March 30 decision in Braidwood Management Inc. v. Becerra that blocked an Obamacare requirement for health plans to pay in full for certain preventive health-care services recommended by the US Preventive Services Task Force.
