Pension Suit Over DuPont, Corteva Restructuring Gets Class Nod

DuPont de Nemours Inc. and Corteva Inc. will face two certified classes of employees in a lawsuit saying the companies’ recent corporate restructuring improperly blocked workers from receiving the early retirement benefits they’d been promised.

Judge Michael M. Baylson on Nov. 17 certified a class of nearly 600 workers who were under 50 with 15 or more years of service at the time of the 2019 corporate spin-off that followed the merger of E.I. DuPont de Nemours Co. and Dow Chemical Co. Baylson certified a second class covering “thousands” of people who were over 50 with 15 or more years ...
