Pennsylvania Pension Fund Says DOJ Corruption Probe Is Closed

Pennsylvania’s <-bsp-bb-link state="{"bbHref":"bbg://securities/8168263Z%20US%20Equity","_id":"00000182-5f9e-d4b2-a386-ffbf4d5f0000","_type":"0000016b-944a-dc2b-ab6b-d57ba1cc0000"}">Public School Employees’ Retirement System said the Justice Department has closed an investigation into possible corruption at the pension fund.

  • PSERS Chairman Chris Santa Maria said in a statement on Tuesday that the fund had been informed by the Justice Department that the probe had ended.
  • A grand jury probe launched early last year focused on a property in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, acquired by the $75 billion pension fund.
  • The Justice Department didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
