Old Dominion Freight’s 401(k) Fee Settlement Gets First Approval

Old Dominion Freight Line Inc. scored initial court approval for a $1.9 million class settlement with workers challenging their 401(k) plan’s administrative fee levels.

More than 26,000 retirement plan participants are expected to benefit under the deal, which represents about 38% of their estimated potential recovery in the case. Judge Thomas D. Schroeder of the US District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina on Aug. 1 gave his preliminary approval to the agreement and scheduled a Jan. 27, 2026 fairness hearing.
