Northwood Hospitality LLC was sued in federal court by a former employee who says the Colorado-based resort operator fails to notify workers of their right to remain on the company health plan after leaving their jobs.
Deanna Darias accuses Northwood of failing to provide notice of her COBRA rights after she resigned from the company in 2021, causing her to lose her health insurance coverage. She seeks to represent a class of Northwood health plan participants and beneficiaries who didn’t receive these notices and failed to elect COBRA coverage.
