A federal judge granted final approval to NorthShore University HealthSystem’s $850,000 class settlement with workers challenging their retirement plan fees and funds.
The deal is slated to provide about 18,000 people covered by NorthShore’s retirement plan since May 2016 with about 15% of their estimated losses in the case. Judge Steven C. Seeger of the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois granted final approval to the deal in a notice entered Monday on the court’s docket.
