NJ Pension May Divest Ben & Jerry’s Parent Over Israel Plan

New Jersey’s public pension fund may divest its holdings in Unilever Plc, the parent company of Ben & Jerry’s, over the ice-cream maker’s plan to halt sales in Jewish West Bank settlements and areas of east Jerusalem.

  • New Jersey’s Division of Investment said it conducted a review of Unilever and Ben & Jerry’s to determine whether such actions constituted a boycott of Israel or companies operating in Israel or Israeli-controlled territory
