A GenPsych Inc. nurse practitioner filed a proposed class action saying the New Jersey mental health treatment center deducted retirement plan contributions from workers’ paychecks but failed to put that money in their 401(k) accounts.
Plaintiff Christelle McClure says she had more than $17,000 in voluntary retirement plan contributions deducted from her paychecks in 2023. But her account statement shows less than $1,000 in employee contributions for that year, and GenPsych hasn’t been able to explain the discrepancy, she said in a complaint filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the District of New Jersey.
