A New York-based employment lawyer accused his former law firm of failing to pay him more than $38,000 in wages, commissions, reimbursements, and benefits.
William Li’s May 17 lawsuit claims the Boyd Law Group PLLC “grossly underpaid and exploited” him by “regularly” missing payroll and failing to pay him commissions earned on new business. The firm also mishandled the 401(k) and health plan contributions it deducted from his salary, Li claims.
Boyd Law Group, an employment law firm with offices in New York and Connecticut, didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.
