Morgan Stanley Urges Second Circuit to Hear Deferred Pay Appeal

Morgan Stanley called on the Second Circuit to hear its appeal arguing that a dispute with former advisers over their deferred compensation arrangement was wrongly held to be subject to federal benefits law.

Morgan Stanley is appealing the “improper adjudication” of the merits of a dispute that was sent to arbitration pursuant to party agreement, it said Monday in a filing urging the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit to exercise jurisdiction over the appeal.
