MedStar, Workers Announce Deal in Retirement Plan Fund Lawsuit

MedStar Health Inc. reached a class settlement with workers challenging the target date funds in their $1.8 billion retirement plan.

The parties are finalizing their agreement and plan to submit the deal for court approval by Jan. 19, 2024, they said in a notice filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the District of Maryland. The filing, which didn’t include details about the terms of the agreement, comes two months before the case was scheduled to go to trial before Judge James K. Bredar.
