MedStar Retirement Plan Settlement Lawyers Vouch for Payouts

Lawyers who negotiated an $11.8 million class settlement over MedStar Health Inc.'s retirement plan confirmed to a federal judge that the settlement proceeds have been distributed to the class.

The settlement administrator and MedStar’s retirement plan recordkeeper completed the transactions necessary to distribute payments over the past two months, counsel for both parties said in a Friday status report. The class member who said she’d been given inadequate information about the deal has been paid, the lawyers told Judge James K. Bredar of the US District Court for the District of Maryland.
