Massachusetts Teaching Hospital Settles Retirement Plan Fee Suit

Former Cambridge Health Alliance workers negotiated a settlement in their proposed class action claiming the Massachusetts-based teaching hospital’s retirement plan is plagued by excessive administrative fees.

The parties are finalizing settlement paperwork and the workers plan to submit the deal for court approval by Dec. 19, they said in a joint status report. The filing, docketed Monday in the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts, didn’t include details about the terms of the agreement.
