Lutnick Son Given Role of Strategy Chief at Family Property Firm

The eldest son of US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick was given a more prominent role at the commercial real estate advisory company that’s helped drive much of his family fortune.

Kyle Lutnick, 30, who works as a director at Newmark Group Inc., was named chief strategy officer, a newly created role at the firm, according to a regulatory filing Friday. Lutnick will report to Luis Alvarado, the firm’s chief operating officer.
