Lockheed Seeks Immediate Appeal Over Pension Transfer Standing

Lockheed Martin Corp. requested permission to immediately appeal a decision allowing retirees to move forward with claims that the company jeopardized their retirement benefits by offloading their pensions to an overly risky annuity provider.

The March decision allowing the case to advance came the same day a different federal court dismissed a “substantially identical” lawsuit against Alcoa USA Corp., Lockheed said in a motion filed Monday in the US District Court for the District of Maryland.
