Lockheed Martin Inks $1.25 Million Deal in Health Notice Suit

Lockheed Martin Corp. will pay $1.25 million to resolve class action claims that it failed to send former employees legally compliant notices of their right to continued health coverage.

The deal, announced in court papers filed with the Middle District of Florida Sept. 3, will pay about $14 to each of 54,000 class members, after accounting for attorneys’ fees and expenses. Any unclaimed payments will go to the Camaraderie Foundation, a Florida group providing counseling and mental health services to military service members and veterans.
