Launch Tech USA Inc. reached an individual settlement with a former employee who filed a proposed class action accusing the automotive diagnostic tool supplier of failing to send legally required COBRA notices.
Plaintiff Carlos Inga on Tuesday told a US judge he’ll seek to dismiss his individual claims against the company pursuant to an undisclosed settlement agreement that doesn’t extinguish the rights of other potential class members. His year-old lawsuit said he lost health coverage because he never received a COBRA notice explaining his right to stay on Launch Tech’s health plan for a limited period after leaving the company. ...
