Knight-Swift Workers Secure 23,000-Person Class in 401(k) Suit

Workers suing Phoenix-based trucking company Knight-Swift Transportation Holdings Inc. over its retirement plan fees scored a court order certifying their case as a 23,000-person class action.

The certified class includes all the Knight-Swift plan’s participants and beneficiaries since October 2016, according to an order issued Wednesday in the US District Court for the District of Arizona by Judge Roslyn O. Silver.

Knight-Swift objected to having the class certified, saying there wasn’t a single course of conduct by a governing plan committee because the plan didn’t exist until the Knight-Swift merger in 2019. But the company didn’t cite any authority ...
