Kimberly-Clark Finalizes $2.25 Million 401(k) Fee Settlement

Kimberly-Clark Corp. employees who challenged the fee levels in their 401(k) plan secured final approval for a $2.25 million class settlement with the personal care products manufacturer.

The agreement represents about 15% of the workers’ maximum estimated losses in the case and is expected to benefit about 25,000 plan participants and beneficiaries since April 2015. Judge Sam A. Lindsay granted final approval to the deal and awarded class counsel more than $1 million in attorneys’ fees and expenses in a pair of orders issued Tuesday in the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
