Justices Seek Government View on Parker-Hannifin 401(k) Plan (1)

The US Supreme Court sought the US solicitor general’s opinion on a dispute over Parker-Hannifin Corp.'s 401(k) plan fees, a signal the high court could tackle the “meaningful benchmark” standard used in retirement plan challenges.

The justices’ invitation, issued Monday, marks the second time in recent months the high court has asked for the federal government’s take on class litigation involving a large 401(k) plan.
