IRS Sets Applicable, Adjusted Federal Interest Rates for November

The Internal Revenue Service announced that the short-term annual applicable federal interest rate for November is 0.39 percent, the midterm rate is 1.90 percent and the long-term rate is 2.91 percent.

The rates—in Revenue Ruling 2014-28, released Oct. 16—are slightly higher than the October annual rates set in Rev. Rul. 2014-26, which were 0.38 percent, 1.85 percent and 2.89 percent 181 DTR G-2, 9/18/14.

Rev. Rul. 2014-28 also provides the adjusted applicable federal short-, mid- and long-term rates: 0.39 percent, 1.31 percent and 2.80 percent, respectively, all slightly up from the October rates.
