The IRS issued a draft version of Form 8889, Health Savings Accounts (HSAs), and its instructions for tax year 2015.
The instructions didn’t highlight any major changes to the form, though the amount filers enter on Line 3 as part of the HSA tax deduction calculation was updated. The Internal Revenue Service posted the documents to its website June 17.
Individuals file the form to report HSA contributions and distributions and determine their HSA deduction.
