Hershey, Sodexo, Sysco See COBRA Lawsuits Voluntarily Dismissed

Former employees suing Sysco Corp., Sodexo Inc., and Hershey Co. over their COBRA notices in the Western District of Tennessee dropped their lawsuits Thursday, ending three of the recent proposed class actions challenging the notices companies send former workers about their rights to continued health coverage.

Each employer was accused in recent months of violating the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act, the federal law requiring companies with 20 or more employees to allow workers to continue their health coverage after they’ve been terminated.
