GSA Modifies Per Diem Rates for Certain Areas

The General Services Administration Aug. 25 announced that it was making changes to per diem rates for federal employee travel to certain areas in the continental Unites States during fiscal year 2012, effective Oct. 1 (76 Fed. Reg. 53134, 8/25/11).

According to information on GSA’s website, most of the continental United States (CONUS) falls under the standard per diem rate of $77 to $123 for lodging and $46 for meals and incidental expenses. For FY 2012, the Alexandria/Leesville/Natchitoches area of Louisiana will be a new nonstandard area with a per diem rate of $80 for lodging and ...
