GoldenTree Ordered to Pay Bonus to COO Fired Over Misconduct (1)

GoldenTree Asset Management LP was ordered to pay a $1.2 million bonus to a former chief operating officer who was fired for misconduct including lying about an affair with a subordinate, making lewd comments and exposing himself to other workers.

William Christian, who served as the firm’s COO from 2006 until he was terminated in 2020, was awarded the money by an arbitrator in April, but GoldenTree asked a New York state court to partially vacate that decision.
