Giant Eagle Inc.‘s $668,750 class settlement with workers challenging the fees tied to the grocery chain’s retirement plan received final approval from a Pennsylvania federal judge.
The agreement is slated to benefit more than 15,000 people covered by the Giant Eagle plan between August 2018 and July 2025. It resolves allegations that the plan paid excessive annual recordkeeping fees that averaged out to about $88 per person.
