GardaWorld Cash Service Inc. is free from a proposed class action challenging health-care coverage penalties it charged employees who use tobacco products or aren’t vaccinated against Covid-19.
The case fails for lack of standing because the two named plaintiffs weren’t covered by GardaWorld’s health plan during the relevant time period, Judge Kenneth D. Bell said in an order issued Feb. 20 in the US District Court for the Western District of North Carolina.
