Fractured Court Allows $420,000 Medical Bill Suit Against Aetna

A woman who incurred more than $420,000 in medical bills when her newborn twins required extended hospitalization will get another chance to argue that Aetna Life Insurance Co. should have footed the bill.

The woman’s lawsuit was properly dismissed for failing to include necessary information showing she has a valid claim against Aetna, the US Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit said Thursday.
