Former PWC Director’s Appeal for Disability Benefits Rejected

A former PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP director with fibromyalgia failed to convince the Seventh Circuit to revive her lawsuit seeking monthly disability benefits of more than $6,000 from Hartford Life & Accident Insurance Co.

Because the record supports two reasonable views of the evidence, the district court didn’t err in concluding that the director hadn’t established a disability that entitled her to benefits, the US Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit said Thursday. The opinion was written by Judge Michael Y. Scudder Jr. and joined by Judges Frank H. Easterbrook and Michael B. Brennan.
