Former Miami Dolphin Delvin Williams Sues for Injury Benefits

Retired NFL player Delvin Williams sued two NFL benefit plans, saying they refused to pay the disability and retirement benefits they owed him.

Williams says he is owed disability retirement benefits because he sustained “numerous football injuries,” including fractures, bruises, strains, sprains, tears, and concussions. The former running back for the Miami Dolphins, who also played for the San Francisco 49ers and the Green Bay Packers, filed the suit July 23 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
